Ministry to allocate 900 bln rbl for gas refinery in Ust-Luga 2024

MOSCOW, Sep 23 (PRIME) -- Russia’s Finance Ministry will allocate 900 billion rubles from the National Wealth Fund for the Ust-Luga gas refinery until the end of 2024, Minister Anton Siluanov told reporters late on Tuesday.

“(The limit of financing from the National Wealth Fund) is 1.6 trillion rubles in four years, or, actually, in three years, according to the plan. Plus, the Ust-Luga project worth around 900 billion rubles. No any other similar projects, any exclusions, are discussed,” he said.

In 2019, gas giant Gazprom announced its plans to build a 13 million tonne liquefied natural gas (LNG) plant in the Leningrad Region town of Ust-Luga together with RusGasDobycha. The first stage of the complex is to be launched in the second half of 2023 and the second stage by the end of 2024.
